In the midst of the serious work of therapy, I seek to help my clients find hope, joy, and humor and a renewed enthusiasm for life. Working with individuals, families, or groups, I provide a Holistic Approach to addressing: Expression, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Job Stress, Loss and Grief, Health Issues Reaction, Emotional Adjustment, ADHD. Utilizing a strength-based model I will meet you where you are and ensure the healing process leads to an improved quality of life.

I have 19 years experience working with adults, children, adolescents and parents who present with a myriad of disorders. I provide individual/group outpatient psychotherapy services in the Tidewater area using a client centered perspective that focuses on my clients' strengths and goals. One of several specialties include anger management therapy for those who are court ordered and/or wish to learn ways to manage their anger. I am currently adding to my client base. I offer flexibility in scheduling sessions. I am an experienced and approved clinical supervisor seeking to add residents in counseling to my caseload as well.

I have a passion for helping and a quest for healing; understanding that recovery to wellness is a journey that you must take, with myself as a willing guide. I've provided counseling and psychological testing services to children, adults, and families for 13 years. I have experience in treating a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, behavior problems, ADHD, family/relationship issues, and anger management. Testing services include cognitive, achievement, and personality assessment. I also provide consultation, education, and training within the community.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a certified substance abuse counselor (CSAC). I earned an MA in Social Work, MA in Correctional Counseling and a Ph.D. in Urban Services/Counseling. I provide therapy in a number of areas: serious mentally ill, marriage & family, drug/alcohol, adult Attention Deficit Disorder & family therapy. I also work with the LGBTQIA community.

Lily Flynn is a Resident in Counseling (RIC) with more than 3 years of experience working with adults and seniors who are seeking help in coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-care, stress, ADHD, and much more. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University.

Dr. Brown is a Licensed Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia who serves children and adults in the areas of ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, marriage restoration, divorcees, and adolescents starting age 16. Dr. Brown is also a military veteran who received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Old Dominion University, a Master’s in Counseling, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

I am LPC-Resident who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who experience a wide range of mental health concerns. My theoretical orientation as a counselor is firmly grounded in humanistic practices and person-centered approaches. I believe that building an authentic, empowering, and positive relationship with my clients is one of the most critical aspects of the therapeutic process. I believe that through therapy we are all able to bloom into the individuals we aspire to be and in turn, our life will blossom and flourish even when there is rain.

I work holistically incorporating mind, body, and spirit. My background includes training in Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy which focuses on felt present experience of the body to access core material of the psyche. I provide virtual and phone sessions. My apologies, my website is currently down and under construction. I can accept straight Medicare in Virginia out of network private insurance or cash. I am now licensed to do Telehealth in Virginia, Nevada, Washington, Utah and Vermont.

I have over 10 years of experience working with teens, adults and families who experience anxiety, depression, attachment and relational struggles, attention difficulties, and spiritual concerns.

Through the psychotherapeutic process, you will learn to become more aware of why you act, react, and feel the way you do. You will develop more constructive methods to resolve life's difficulties and stressors, and you will work to strengthen your inner resources. I would like to be a listener, a comforter, an impartial person who helps to identify triggers and develop goals and coping skills to improve their lives.
