I help adult individuals who are struggling with fulfilling personal expectations. I provide an environment of support and unconditional positive regard which is conducive for taking risks and growth. I work with those who are experiencing high levels of anxiety, panic attacks, depression symptoms. I work with adults who are experienced with ADHD; childhood or adult traumas. I also work with adults who have lost a loved one (a person or a pet) and who are experiencing the tidal waves of grief.
I use mindfulness based interventions for both anxiety and depression (Hoffman & Gómez, Mindfulness-Based Interventions for Anxiety and Depression, Psychiatric Clinics of North America, Vol 40, Issue 4) in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The aim is to reduce emotional suffering while building an individualized skill set for successful living.
