According to the National Institute of Mental Health over one quarter of our population suffer from anxiety , and mood disorders. Patients affected by these disorders represent the major portion of my practice. I employ cognitive techniques to help clients acquire the tools to control their emotions. I believe patients are the paramount reason for my practice, and that I should use all my skills and knowledge to help them get the relief they seek.

My training for the doctorate in psychology taught me to evaluate the basis for various treatments, and separate the truly effective ones from those that represent wishful thinking. I find that cognitive and behavioral approaches to the treatment of emotional disorders are currently the state of the art.
