I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients and those who identify as LGBTQ+, and also offer ADHD/executive functioning coaching.
We all have our own negative thought patterns that impact our confidence, self-esteem, and mental health. What ideas and beliefs do you have about yourself? Perhaps those beliefs are causing you to be stressed, anxious, or depressed. Together, we can discover your unique thought patterns, become aware of their impact, and start to replace them with more motivating and positive self-talk. We can also begin to understand how your emotions show up in your body and how they might be impacting different areas of your life.

I can help you conquer your anxiety, stop overthinking, manage ADHD, improve self-confidence, overcome social anxiety, learn to challenge self-defeating thought patterns, and identify tangible steps you can take to reach your goals.
Have you been feeling worried, overwhelmed, or stuck lately? Do you tend to keep your struggles to yourself because no one really understands? I specialize in working with young adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, have trouble managing their ADHD, are going through a life transition, or simply want a non-judgemental safe space to explore their feelings and better understand themselves.

I specialize in working with clients who are healing from childhood trauma, dissociation/depersonalization, anxiety, and ADHD.
What is most crucial for me in the therapeutic process is to assist clients in coming home to themselves: building their intuition, giving them space to validate their feelings, and to move towards living in alignment with their truest expression. I enjoy sharing mindfulness techniques and nourishing routine practices with my clients to help them become a more embodied, authentic, and present version of themselves. I believe that my clients know what is best for them, and I hope to help them uncover and connect to that inner knowing.

I work with adult clients of all ages experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, or emotional dysregulation resulting from ADHD, trauma, lack of motivation, grief and loss, workplace challenges, isolation and loneliness, aging, and life and career transitions.
I relate to client struggles through the lens of real-world experience. During my 30 year career supporting others through workplace and life challenges as a leadership and executive coach in HR/organizational and leadership development roles for corporations and nonprofits, I found my calling as a psychotherapist in how “what we do,” intersects with “who we are." My approach is eclectic and intuitive, tailored to your unique needs, and drawing from various therapeutic modalities, including neuro-informed somatic practice, and strengths-based perspectives.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
