Through working within my specializations, I also treat depression, OCD, PTSD, and various personality concerns.

I work with individuals, couples and families on such issues as relationship issues, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication enhancement, anger management, drug/alcohol abuse and addiction. Many clients present with depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, childhood disorders such as conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, etc. I work with adults and couples on relationship/marital issues, domestic violence, etc. I work with clients who have experienced abuse, both sexual and physical. I assist parents with parent-child relational issues and behavior modification skill development. I also assist clients with anxiety disorders, grief/loss issues and struggles with adjusting to life circumstances.

Dr. Ken Morris is a state licensed professional counselor with 30 years of experience. He has a passion for working with people that struggle with marital and relationship, substance abuse, mood, and trauma issues. Dr. Morris works with teenagers and adults and offers individual as well as group counseling using traditional and highly effective holistic modes of therapy. Maybe you’ve just found out you're neurodivergent or you’ve always known, but you’ve never had the support you needed to thrive. Maybe you're experiencing the maddening isolation of religious trauma and need a safe place to be undone and unsure.

I am currently only accepting new clients for Assessments (ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, etc). Do you feel stuck, or at an impasse in your current life? Perhaps the use of a substance or a behavior has become a larger piece of your life than you wanted it to. It could be that anxiety or depression have kept you from achieving what you want, or being who you want to be. Maybe you’ve had a change in your life that’s been difficult to handle. I am a clinical psychologist with post doctoral training from Stanford/UCSF and the Menninger Clinic. I have been licensed as a psychologist for 23 years and my training prior to being licensed spanned 10 years. As a therapist I offer an increased sense of safety and structure in reflecting on feelings. In this environment one relaxes and new perspectives emerge -as well as an increased ability to trust and find solutions within one's self. I am both a patient listener as well as an active and engaged clinician who offers personal insights and feedback.

I believe that life is about one simple thing: connections. This belief inspired the name of Connections Counseling, LLC. When we feel connected (to our true selves, intimate relationships, family, friends, career, a purpose larger than us, etc.), we tend to have positive mental well being. I believe I can aid you, no matter what mental ailments you may feel, in connecting to broken or missing attachments and obtaining a new sense of mental health through this process.

My passion is helping people build healthy and meaningful lives. I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes, the pioneer in the field of sex addiction. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with all forms of addictions and compulsive behaviors including: sex, pornography, drugs, alcohol, food, work, spending, codependent relationships, etc. I use Attachment-Focused EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration to help people become free from underlying relational/attachment wounds.
