In session I am empathetic and positive, working collaboratively with each client, in overcoming life challenges. Due to the vast amount of experience I have gained in both psychotherapy as well as behavioral modification, my therapeutic approach is diverse and can be non-directive, guiding the client at their own pace, or directive in nature. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor that has worked extensively with individuals struggling with relationship dissatisfaction and other relational issues, depression, anxiety, anger and emotion management, emotional eating, panic attacks, trauma, struggles with self-esteem, stress-management and burnout, difficulties with parenting or co-parenting, career related hurdles and work dissatisfaction, adult ADHD, OCD, and intrusive thoughts.

My experience in social services consists of 20+ years of growth, first as a case manager and Social Svc. Director prior to licensure, then clinical experience as a child and family therapist in community mental health, an LCSW in an small group practice, and now my own practice since February 2016. I have extensive knowledge working with people living with grief/loss, Childhood trauma, Depression, Anxiety/Panic disorders, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, and Personality disorders. I am experienced and passionate about working with First Responders, Military, Medical Professional, and anyone that has had traumatic experiences.

I enjoy working with all my clients. I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a myriad of issues. I have a particular expertise and understanding working with trauma issues. I have 15 years of police experience that allows me to better understand the needs of the service professionals (police, fire, nurses, military, etc.) clients and their families and how best to help them in a compassionate and caring way.
