Welcome! I work with individuals, families, and couples to help them find new ways to look at their lives and new ways to manage difficult emotions. For more than twenty years, I've been working with children, adults, and families and have worked as an ADHD coach and as a special education advocate. I have also been a program director overseeing eating disorder clinics with clients who had primary eating disorders as well as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, attachment disorders, and borderline personality disorder, among others.

Dr. Cantor obtained his Masters and Doctorates in Psychology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook with special interests in Developmental Neuropsychology. He is trained in Clinical Psychopharmacology and holds Diplomates from the American Board of Forensic Examiners, International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling, and Psychotherapy, and Fellow Status of the Academy of Learning and Developmental Disorders, and the American Board of Psychological Specialties - Neuropsychology, and the National Acadenmy of Neuropsychology. He is a specialist with Developmental Disorder such as ADHD and Autism, Neurotrauma, Biological factors underlying Depression, and Forensics.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in conducting psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. My evaluations utilize a variety of assessment methods chosen to address the individual's particular needs. I have worked in independent practice in the Atlanta area since 2010 evaluating individuals presenting with a wide range of diagnostic concerns, including: ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mood/Anxiety Disorders, Learning Disorders, Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities, executive dysfunction, and other behavioral problems. My psychological evaluations assist individuals and their families in gaining a thorough understanding of his/her unique abilities and areas of strength and weakness.

I treat many concerns however I do specialize in certain issues. I specialize in treating anxiety, adult ADHD, relationship concerns, self esteem issues & trouble setting boundaries. As a child and adolescent therapist, I acknowledge the joys and the challenges we as parents often experience. By working with children and their parents as a family system, there is an increase in the overall efficacy of treatment. Often, many of our struggles as a family stem from our ability to fully understand each others' experiences and view points. Learning to communicate more effectively, regulate emotions, and be more mindful in our every day lives can drastically improve our personal and familial experiences.

Life can be difficult for us all, but does it seem tougher on you at times? Maybe there actually IS something making life more challenging. Do you sometimes have feelings of guilt, shame, hopelessness, or panic, but can't identify the causes of these? I work with women and mothers who find themselves overwhelmed with the demands of our current society, and my aim is to help clients reach their goals using a foundation of acceptance and personal empowerment. Our modern society is not set up to support the needs of women and mothers. Add in social media and the comparison game and many of us struggle to stay above water with our mental health.

You watch everyone pass you by from the outside the crowd. They seem so comfortable in their own skin. Life is so easy for them. "So what’s wrong with me?" Your brain's a chaotic mess. Thoughts overlap and blur together, making concentrating or finding peace impossible. Navigating your social life feels like walking through a minefield. The world is full of rules that you never learned. You’ve accomplished a lot in life but happiness eludes you. "Is this normal?" you wonder. An ADHD/autism self-diagnosis led to hacks that help but it's not enough. You know you could get better if only your brain would let you.

I now have space for 2 additional clients as of April 1st- As a child, adolescent, college-aged, and adult therapist, my goal is always to first and foremost create a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space for you to be your true self. I believe that life struggles and transitions can feel completely overwhelming, and that the future may feel like a scary place.  I fully believe that every person is capable of building a life worth living if given the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques needed to work through the various difficulties that come with life.

For toddlers, children, and teenagers, I provide testing (psychological or psychoeducational) and therapy for a range of presenting concerns such as neurodevelopmental (such as ASD, ADHD), anxiety, academic, problem behavior (e.g., aggression, self-hitting/biting, stereotypies), and more. I use results of testing to inform therapy which is individualized to best meet the needs of your child and family. I have a specialty working with toddlers, children, caregivers, and people of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or Intellectual Disabilities for testing and therapy.

I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and autism spectrum disorder across all age groups. By utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's specific needs, I collaborate with children, teens, and adults to develop practical strategies for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, improving executive function skills, overcoming life challenges, and enhancing social connections.

Perimeter Therapy Associates provides psychological services for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families experiencing life transitions, relationship difficulties, depression, post partum depression, anxiety, grief, parenting concerns and other mental health issues.
