My goal is to provide informed, strengths-based, research supported, compassionate treatment. I work with children and parents to improve wellbeing and functioning, strengthen relationships, and build skills to better manage stress, anxiety, behavior, and emotions. My name is Cecilia Baez and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) located in Florida. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I have over 15 years of experience and a strong background in addressing parenting and family concerns, as well as assisting children and adolescents dealing with behavioral issues, defiance, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and stress. In addition, I have experience working with individuals who face depression, anxiety, domestic violence, emotional distress, isolation, grief, self-harm, and interpersonal relationship challenges.

I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern with a bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Barry University. I have over 14 years of experience working with dual diagnosis, behavioral health, applied behavioral analysis, mental health, and coaching with children, adolescents, teens, adults, couples, families, and businesses. I also have experience working with ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, bipolar, behavioral issues, work/life balance, goal setting.

Her experience with individuals and couples spans many areas, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), life transitions, and grief. She primarily works with adults, professionals, and couples tailoring her approach to suit the unique needs of each individual.

Dr. Sweitzer has specialized training in the psychological, educational, and developmental assessment of children ages 3 to 19. She has worked in both public school systems and independent schools servicing elementary, middle, and high school students. Dr. Sweitzer conducts comprehensive neurodevelopmental and psychoeducational evaluations for dyslexia and other learning differences, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mood disorders, and twice-exceptional (2e).
