With over 14 years of healthcare experience under my belt, I've dedicated eight years of my career as a Nurse Practitioner. Throughout my journey, I've encountered a myriad of chronic illnesses, from diabetes and hypertension to anxiety and depression. My approach to patient care is rooted in a holistic perspective, although I'm not hesitant to provide support and prescribe medications when necessary. One of my areas of expertise revolves around treating patients with ADHD, employing a multifaceted treatment plan. While I refrain from prescribing stimulants, I've achieved considerable success in supporting and treating patients.

I enjoy working with clients with attention issues (ADHD), anxiety, stress, grief, and depression.
Currently accepting new clients on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Maybe you recently noticed something just started bothering you or your child...or maybe you've been struggling with feelings you don't like for quite a while. There is lots of research that says talking about your problems with a licensed professional can be helpful. I hope I can be that person for you or your child.

My specialties include working with adults and adolescents living with ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Daily avoidance, endless phone scrolling, and chronic anxiety can leave anyone feeling disconnected and frustrated. Together we can explore the root of these challenges and develop coping skills, resilience, and a deepened understanding of self. I tailor my approach to folks unique goals and don't believe in a one-size-fits-all treatment.

My areas of focus include psychological assessment, counseling therapy with pediatric, adolescent and adult clients, and African American psychology for clients with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, blended families, and military or veteran related stressors.
Hi! In a world where so many of us regularly get the message that we are flawed, I think it is important to start by saying something that we might not hear so regularly, which is, that it is okay to be you. But if I’m being honest, being yourself is not always an easy thing to do. As a therapist, I place priority in creating a therapy environment where clients feel safe to share the most authentic versions of themselves without fear of judgement. In addition to a safe therapeutic space, my goal is to assist clients on their paths towards self-expression and self-acceptance no matter where they are in their journey.

I offer support to those experiencing anxiety, trauma, betrayal, unwanted sexual behaviors and a few other concerns. My clients are professionals and parents, and sometimes teens. I employ EMDR, Sandtray, Talk therapy, mindfulness, outdoor therapy, and VR exposures to tailor treatment. My current personal passion is to encourage anyone that (despite their best efforts) is not living the life that they desire, to exclude ADHD from possible concerns with the objective QbCheck. Is isn't hyperbole to say that treating ADHD can save a life.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
