Hello! Welcome to New Path Psychological Services. We offer individual and family therapy, as well as psychological and educational evaluation services. We are accepting new patients at this time. We work with adults, children and teenagers experiencing emotional and/or academic difficulties. We also provide consultative evaluations for a wide range of issues, including gifted evaluations, pre-surgical psychological screenings, parental fitness evaluations, and compensation and pension examinations. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with several years of experience. I've volunteered with several community agencies in the past in the areas of domestic violence, trauma, and family dynamic including improving familial relationships and communication. I have experiencing working with children, adolescents, adults and families in regards to mental health issues, trauma, domestic violence, substance abuse, parenting, marital/family conflict, stress management, school issues, communication, self-esteem in a healthy way using a cognitive behavioral approach.

I have provided leadership in program operations for several children's residential facilities and shelters and have supervised clinical therapies in acute residential treatment to those suffering from emergency psychiatric, emotional and behavioral problems, substance and sexual abuse and addictions.

I am working with both adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling and psychotherapy is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I consider myself a generalist with specialty training in cognitive rehabilitation, vocational/career counseling, as well as psychoeducational testing and other evaluations, such as pre-surgical evaluations (e.g., for bariatric procedures).

In my practice I see clients of all ages, for therapy and testing/evaluations. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse/dependence, behavior disorders and family systems issues. Most of my clients present with a combination of symptoms. I tailor treatment to the specific needs of the client and use research proven techniques to meet the needs of the individual, or family, in a collaborative setting. I teach healthy coping skills to address a wide range of symptoms.
