If you are seeking a deeper understanding of why you or your child struggles with focusing or learning, then I can help clarify what is getting in the way of reaching one's full potential. You may wonder if there is a name for the difficulty (e.g., is it dyslexia? ADHD?) or you may be unsure if having such a name would be helpful. More importantly, you are wanting a better sense of the strengths and weaknesses that you or you child have and what strategies and interventions would be most helpful.

We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Adults with ADD/ADHD. Receiving a thorough assessment from a therapist specializing in ADD/ADHD is an important step towards managing ADD/ADHD. Not every person who receives a diagnosis has every symptom of ADD/ADHD or experiences the severity of symptoms to the same degree. As part of your assessment we will determine what symptoms are affecting your life and focus treatment on your particular presentation of ADD/ADHD. Our program is an "out of network provider" for all insurance plans. We can provide the necessary documentation to submit if your insurance accepts out of network

We believe in everyone should be given access to the resources to set them for success. Many people with ADHD have been suffering from low work performance and strained relationships with coworkers. There’s even the potential of getting fired from work without knowing they have a mental disorder. That’s where we think Done can help and change one’s life in a meaningful way.

I have experience working with children and adults diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, depression and other diagnosis.
Hi there, my name is Martha Gonzales and I am an Associate Family Therapist. I have been working in the field for about 5 years. I enjoy working with children and families. I graduated with my Masters degree as A Marriage and Family Therapist with a concentration in children. I myself have utilized therapy services in the past, especially when I was a child and I lost my father at a young age. Just like that therapist made a difference in my life, that is something that I want to continue doing, making a difference. I am a cancer survivor, mother of 3 children which I enjoy spending time with them on my days off.

I work in tandem with telehealth or therapy and neurofeedback to recover your true resilience. I can work in either modality alone, however the two together have a synergistic effect, producing quicker results. Neurofeedback assists in restoring optimal brain health, while psychotherapy can help you become aware of your thinking patterns, and assist you in creating better emotional balance. You can feel awake and deeply connected to the world and others around you again. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADD, PTSD or other traumas, I can help free you from old blockages and restore your original, true nature.

I am a specialist in Child, Adolescent, and Family psychotherapy in homes, schools, clinics, and hospital settings since 2004 with an emphasis on Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Therapy for mood/anxiety disorders, evaluation and treatment of neurodevelopmental differences (ADHD/Autism), and educational counseling and advocacy.
We avoid psychotherapy for the same reasons we avoid the dentist, the accountant, or an ex— we’re sure they’ll tell us something's wrong and we’re afraid it might be our fault! Who wouldn’t be ambivalent? Some people might struggle emotionally for a week, a month, or even a year before reaching out to a therapist. And it makes sense— it's hard to confide in a stranger and it can take a while to find the right fit. We want someone who is authentic and experienced, but is also easy to talk to. For some, the flexibility to connect with our partners, children, and family members is even more important. We need someone who "gets" us!

Additionally, I have worked over eighteen years as a professional career counselor and recently as an ADHD specialist, discovering and dissembling the internal blocks and habits that keep us from greater satisfaction.
The people I've been able to help most feel stuck and crave direction in recovering an assured sense of who they are and their potential. We are all creatures of adaptation and many of us learn early on to adjust to whatever the world asks of us. Accordingly, we may internalize the priorities of our parents, our peers, and our culture, agendas that don’t always serve our own interest.

I have a second Master's degree in Education with a focus on learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder.
I see therapy as an adventure with one's self. My strength as a therapist is to help you take personal risks in order both to discover and to become a whole person. We all need support and empathy to become who we are meant to be. Therapy should be a comfortable environment where your own wisdom is respected and built upon. The goal is to integrate your body, mind, and spirit. Adult ADD, support for psych med withdrawal, and GLBT issues are a specialty, but all are very welcome.

Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a San Francisco ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in San Francisco.
