I work psychodynamically and use an eclectic approach. My appreciation for attachment theory, humanistic and modern psychoanalytic knowledge bases as well as the mind body connection all inform my clinical work. Psychotherapy is a wonderful tool to help someone find out more of who they are, the sources of their distress, and what they need and want for a more joyful, empowered and present life. I also have a degree in music therapy and where appropriate or requested, use music and creative expression to assist. Please feel free to contact me to consult about your interest in pursuing psychotherapy at this time.
I have a strong belief in the potential for growth and healing at all stages of life. I work with all ages. My work includes counseling children, such as those with special needs. or those experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral issues. I use play, music, and include collateral and dyad work with parents and caregivers.
My years as a social worker and then as a therapist, have shown me the resilience of the human spirit. Building a healing relationship with a skilled clinician can be a very powerful force. I invite you to reach out to me if you are interested in exploring therapy at this time.
