Teenager's capacity to work through difficulties while cultivating joy, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and perspective taking, is contingent on the clinician and caregivers ability to hold space for them along the way. I believe that structure, coupled with individualized attention, flexible interventions and examining family dynamics, are key to helping young people develop a strong sense of self and wellbeing in today’s tumultuous world.
