I offer psychotherapy at my office in the Oyster Point area of Newport News. Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to make your life more like you want it to be. Professional counseling services afford the chance to sort out feelings and thoughts about present or past relationships, situations, experiences, or coping styles that diminish your present quality of life. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced difficult life experiences, addictions, relationship problems, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and stage of life problems.
I have years of diverse coursework and training that have exposed me to various ways of thinking about behavior and how to help clients move toward a life more like they would want it to be. I individualize treatment approaches, drawing on my diverse training , to meet the needs of my clients.
I am a Board-Certified Art Therapist. Art Therapy offers techniques that bypass verbal expression and affords many the opportunity to express feelings , thoughts and ideas that are difficult, or impossible, to express in words. I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor in the State of Virginia.
