You probably know that a short walk can boost your mood. Imagine combining this with compassionate support from a qualified psychotherapist. One of the most effective forms of therapy for trauma and/or depression involves talking through your pain while moving and appreciating the beauty of nature. I'm a certified EMDR therapist who offers walking / hiking EMDR therapy on the nature trail. Whatever has happened to you, you can heal from it. I'm here to help. I specialize in care for the LGBTQ+ population and support gentle movement for diverse bodies of all sizes and abilities in my Adventure Therapy work.
I treat: PTSD, C-PTSD, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Binge Eating Disorder, Phobias (including needles, dentists, CPAP machines, driving, swimming, visiting the doctor, public speaking, being in crowds, and more). Individuals who want compassionate support for weight-related challenges and have exercise-related trauma will also benefit from working with me.
My goal is to provide transformative experiences that, while rooted in evidence-based practices, integrate a 'bottom up' approach to healing. If you have done a lot of talk therapy and feel like you 'know what to do' to get better but just have trouble doing it, this is the right therapy for you. We will literally move through your issues, together.
