Are you feeling sad, anxious, or confused? Are you thinking negatively and finding it hard to picture the future? We all have these experiences, but sometimes they become overwhelming. When that happens, it is important to seek a professional. As a teenager, I often wished I had someone who would listen and help me understand the chaos of my home life. To me, the relationship between the therapist and client is the most important aspect of therapy. I am someone who will not only listen but offer guidance and advice tailored to your individual needs.
I started my career in community mental health. As the only woman therapist for over 5 years, I gained valuable experience working with women's issues. I have an extensive background working with all ages in marginalized populations who have experienced trauma and abuse. I treated all issues, from stress to chronic mental illness.
I do mostly individual therapy. I focus on issues including daily stress, self-esteem, trauma, abuse, depressed mood, and anxiety. I mostly use cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help people decrease suffering and become their best selves.
