My name is D’Shawn Yeager, I am an LPC and LCDC. I am pleased to offer psychotherapy in Texas, specifically in person in Lubbock regions and virtually elsewhere. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also collaborate with clients who have disordered eating patterns or struggle with body image. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Because of this pairing of DBT and EMDR I am in a unique position to help individuals with PTSD, addictions, and traumas - big or small.

I am trained in DBT and EMDR for trauma. My philosophy is to practice radically open acceptance of the client through validation; while also expecting change and personal growth. This is particularly important for individuals who have intense emotions with ineffective coping skills. DBT reduces suffering by learning skills to help deal with life.

My greatest goal is to help clients, learn how to discontinue behaviors that are interfering with daily life and strive for their greatest individual potential. I thrive on helping others deal with addictions and strong urges to engage in unhealthy or unproductive short-term fixes. Taking action to improve your life takes courage, I am here to help.
