NOT taking new clients! - As a Pakistani-American Muslim woman, my overlapping identities enable me to empathize extremely well with my clients, particularly women of color. I approach therapy with a culturally aware and strengths-based lens that incorporates mindfulness and person-centered therapy. My passion lies in allowing clients to reach deep into themselves to explore hidden potential and develop healthy coping skills to help break the patterns they may find themselves in.
I have worked with adolescents in a school setting, with patients in the intermediate care unit of a hospital, and with domestic violence victims who recently left their perpetrator and were working on finding themselves again. I have also worked in a nonprofit space with clients of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and religious beliefs.
I strive to approach clients with humility and open-mindedness, holding the belief that the clients know what is best for themselves. I value most when we are able to work together to solve a problem. I am quick to connect clients to the abundant resources available in the community. Call today to schedule a free consultation!
