I work with adults of all ages who come to therapy for many different reasons-from anxiety and depression, to relationship concerns, to the stresses of major life transitions. In my practice I strive to create an environment of safety, compassion, respect, and curiosity. I collaborate with my clients to help them bring clarity to their concerns, understand themselves better, and work toward positive change in their lives.
My approach to therapy is informed by psychoanalytic/psychodynamic principles, which places particular emphasis on emotion, interpersonal relationships, and the ways in which past experience may shape the way a client thinks, feels, acts, and relates to others in the present.
Through deepened self-understanding and the support of the therapeutic relationship, clients find it in themselves to break self-defeating patterns, improve their relationships, resolve symptoms, or make any number of other changes that lead to greater fulfillment and improved quality of life.
