I collaborate with individuals and couples to change old, destructive patterns into mutually beneficial ways of relating. With presence, curiosity & humor, I offer a healing relationship as the path toward greater self-acceptance, fulfillment & freedom. I help you ground in your innate capacity to feel more in charge of your life, which includes being able to identify and express your feelings, needs & desires. My practice is oriented toward: emotional experience; people in the midst of life transitions, including new parents and parents of older children; those experiencing grief; & individuals who have previously been in therapy.
I practice an integrated form of psychotherapy anchored in emotional experience in the present moment. My practice is rooted in Eastern and Western approaches: body-based psychotherapy (Hakomi & AEDP), Zen, Gestalt & voice dialogue, Jungian psychology, family systems and adolescent therapy, cross-cultural perspectives, humanistic, and existential psychology.
I'm also a photographer and writer. My photos and stories have appeared in Time, Mother Jones, The Shambhala Sun, O Magazine, Salon, and The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, as well as other publications. I've exhibited photographs nationally and internationally, including in New York at the International Center of Photography.

Healdsburg Men's Therapy & Meditation Group
This group is well-suited for fathers, meditators, image-makers, musicians, writers, activists, gardeners, farmers, and anyone dedicated to self-exploration and living a creative life. Recognizing and inhabiting ourselves- feelings, needs and desires-makes it possible to manifest the life we want. Practicing staying present in groups offers us the opportunity to illuminate problematic patterns of relating and to make different choices that support new ways of being. We'll learn to expand our capacity to field challenging emotional experience. Each group begins with a short meditation, followed by checking-in about our lives and group process.
