As a psychologist, I am unusual in that I am also a lawyer who worked in government, finance, and media. I leverage my professional experience to tailor treatment to meet the needs of high-functioning executives. I typically work with people experiencing anxiety, attentional, depressive, grief, personality, and trauma-/stressor-related disorders, as well as people adjusting to major life changes. I specialize in time-limited, structured therapy. I provide thorough psychodiagnostic assessments and establish clear agreement regarding treatment goals before transitioning to treatment.
I am a faculty member at NYU's medical school and provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups using cognitive, behavioral, mindfulness, emotion-focused, and motivational interventions. I completed my PhD at Duke and my clinical training at Columbia, Duke, NYU Langone, and the VA. When not with patients, I teach post-doctoral fellows.
