Adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, addiction, abuse, relationship troubles are only some of what he helps clients to address. Tools he uses include active listening, empathy, and psychoeducation. If it's okay with a client, he utilizes Animal Assisted Therapy with the help of his therapy dog, Hobbs (and yes, the dog hair is free).
Modalities he subscribes to are Animal Assisted Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the non-spandex wearing parts of Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and he's always open to learning new theories, modalities, and interventions.
