I use the evidence-based therapy approach of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) when working with individuals and couples. I am a leading expert of SFBT and have written numerous articles and two books about helping people through SFBT. This approach is helpful with a variety of presenting issues, but the focus will be about developing a life you would like to live, rather than dwelling on the undesirable past. This approach will ask you to consider deeply your greatest desire and to outline, with clarity, your strengths and abilities that will help you achieve this desire. You will find this work challenging, but helpful!
SFBT is an effective approach that seeks to inspire people to be their very best! This therapy is completely different from other forms of therapy you might have experienced or tried. You aren't required to retell your most difficult moments or traumas. We focus on your strengths rather than weaknesses. We focus on solutions. We focus on abilities!
