Providing counseling for individuals, families and pregnant addicted women for over 20 years. Possess strong assessment skill in evaluating at -risk adolescent substance abusers. Linking services to juvenile and adult courts. My approach supports a drug free lifestyle. Specialty includes trauma informed intervention; and using the Matrix Model. I provide IOP, GOP, PHP and DUI interventions.
I am well versed and knowledgeable in understanding different drugs and how they affect behavior. I utilize a culturally competent perspective of intervention because drug dependency has no racial or specific culture that it attacks. My interventions are based on research-based assessment tools. That is complemented by strong assessment skills.
Client's have a need to tell their stories to a compassionate, concerned, and understanding Therapist. My supportive intervention style helps the client to reach their potential goal(s) for seeking counseling.
