You deserve to be heard and seen fully. Whether you’re going through a transitional period, craving support while caring for others, or seeking less stress and a more harmonious, balanced life—I’m here to listen, and hold the space you need. You’ve always been the person others turn to for support. Now, it’s time to rediscover your own voice and redefine your own priorities. I’ll be here to help you find the courage to commit to both. You deserve a therapist who earns your trust and works hard to understand you. I believe that therapy should have long-term impact—helping you create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

Are you overwhelmed, anxious or stressed out all the time? Maybe you had an expectation about what life might be like but the reality is so much harder. You just want to feel better, to be happy and connected. Instead of enjoying your time with your family, you just feel angry or anxious all the time.

Most of us face struggles at some point in our lives and these struggles may include stress at work, difficulty with a relationship, or family problems. Struggles may include emotional symptoms such as depression or anxiety, behavioral problems such as having difficulty throwing useless items away or even drinking alcohol too often, and/or cognitive symptoms such as repetitive upsetting thoughts or uncontrolled worry to name a few. Sometimes, life's struggles can be eased by talking with a supportive friend/family member, but when this doesn't resolve the issue, it makes sense to seek a qualified therapist like myself.

An ideal client, is an unideal person. If humans were perfect they wouldn't need therapy. I work with individuals, couples & families with a range of issues. I help people address unskilled thoughts, emotions &/or behaviors, helping them let go of things that are no longer serving them. If an individual desires to grow by developing their sense of awareness, while developing skills to help them lower their stress levels & address their issues, I can help. I work with all mental health conditions, or stress related issues. No issue is too small or too big for therapy. I am here to support others in their goals & personal growth.

Accepting new clients! You're here because you’ve exhausted yourself trying to ‘keep it together’. Whether you are stuck ruminating over the past, or you are anxiously worrying about what lies ahead, I use trauma-informed compassion to help disentangle the confusion. Together we will build a therapeutic alliance that supports you, empowers you, and helps you break free from past patterns; life doesn't have to be about pleasing everyone else and neglecting yourself.

My approach draws heavily from ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), CBT, and exposure therapy.
What if life could be as enjoyable as it was prior to your addiction or eating disorder? Being isolated and scared is a difficult place to be and an even tougher place to get yourself out of. Moving from isolation towards connection is the first step in building a life you can enjoy. Working with me will allow you time each week to step into a world without judgment and a place to work on loosening the chains which have held you in isolation. You will have a teammate whose goals will always be chosen by you. We will work together to define what freedom looks like for you and work as a team to get you there.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
