I also utilize therapy modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Do you feel like you can never live up to the cultural and family expectations placed on you? These experiences may have you reflecting on your childhood and processing the way trauma has impacted your life—you may have family members denying these experiences happened. Due to these experiences you may be struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Therapy can be a place to process these experiences and reduce the symptoms that are impacting your life, I’m here to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you.

I individualize treatment, weaving Relational, Jungian, and Expressive Arts Therapy with CBT, DBT and ACT based on your needs.
I am here to tell you, you are not broken, even if your mind may tell you so. When we are anxious or in despair, we can’t think straight or engage our usual survival strategies. It can impact our health, body, emotions, relationships, perception of self and reality. We can't make sense of the distorted thoughts alone. We need a therapist to help guide us. I often help young women who are feeling shy, anxious, obsessive, depressed, struggling with perfectionism or life transitions. I enjoy helping girls and women achieve developmentally appropriate social-emotional, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

I use a variety of modalities during client sessions, including MI, CBT, ACT, and DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care.
There may be so many painful and powerful memories that brought you here, stringing along with them the thoughts and emotions that continue to have a negative toll on your daily life. You disconnect, you zone out, you freeze, you run. You may have asked yourself, “Why can’t I just let all of this go and move on?” People in your life may have asked you the same question. Maybe you already tried to take care of the issue yourself, you tried going down so many different avenues to heal and you worked doing so. I’d like to honor that. Now you’re here, trying a different path. So, let’s let's try something new. We'll travel together.

I blend ACT and IFS to offer you an empowering space where you can connect more deeply to yourself.
I'm a therapist and I help high-achieving women like you connect more deeply to their Values and Authentic Self. You might describe your life as being fine, and it truly is. You have a good job, relationships, et cetera... but something is still missing. You know who you are and notice you're more steady inside. Despite these shifts, you know things could be better. You're ready to expand, refine your purpose, and fill that last missing piece. You might also be looking for your next-level community of friends, mentors, etc. to help usher you there. If this sounds like you, I can help.

My trauma-informed approach weaves expressive arts, evidence-based therapies (CBT & ACT), somatic mindfulness (Hakomi) and attachment theories to holistically nurture the mind, body & spirit.
For 10 years I've guided clients to create deeply satisfying lives. I value bringing respect, curiosity and kindness as we explore how your lived experiences impact you. I feel honored to help my clients come to know and accept themselves with compassion, to navigate tough situations with ease, to clarify values, and connect to their intuition. I work with women, teen girls and non-binary folks to enhance self awareness, re-write limiting beliefs, and unapologetically prioritize their needs. My clients often learn to take empowered risks with conviction, to feel more present and embodied, and to rest unapologetically.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
