I have extensive experience working with Depression & Anxiety, Grief/Loss issues including disenfranchised grief. Undergoing psychotherapy can be a highly rewarding and beneficial process to explore yourself; your thoughts, beliefs, feelings. Most importantly, your WANTS & LIKES. Overall my interventions encourage/promote deeper awareness of your life experience and events. The meaning made from your life experience is important and valuable. The meaning-making formed can be a source of strength as well as suffering. In therapy you learn to identify/explore the issues that create conflict in your life with supportive guidance
My approach to therapy, based in anti-oppressive values, combines mindfulness-based somatic therapies with other modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Psychodrama, and Modern Psychoanalysis. I carry certificates in Massage Therapy & Yoga. I have experience with several populations/settings incl: Inpatient Psych, Older Adults, LGBT issues.
