Hello! My name is Abigayle Bennett, but you can call me Abi. I am in my second year of my Master’s of Social Work at Binghamton University and hold an Associate’s in Human Services and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Education. I have been working in children’s and family services for the majority of my career, and hope to eventually open a Child and Family Development Center and offer an inclusive space for families to seek tools and resources to improve their family’s mental well-being. I currently work as a therapist in training with www.solhealth.co and encourage you to reach out if you think we might be a good fit!
I specialize in areas such as Anxiety, BPD, mood disorders, parenting and family issues, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, lgbtq+ youth, and domestic/sexual abuse. I strive to create a laid-back, open, and approachable environment in our sessions. I practice primarily using CBT, DBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, and family systems theory.
In our sessions, we will use an eclectic mix of various therapeutic frameworks to best meet your needs. This may look like guided meditations, processing past traumas, exploring family dynamics, cognitive redirection, or just talking. By utilizing a mix of modalities, we can work together to find the best ways to meet your unique needs.
