My approach to therapy focuses on empowering clients by to direct their life's course with confidence & know-how, providing skills for successful emotional regulation & creating therapeutic opportunities for developing self-knowledge & inner-wisdom.
My work has led me to believe in the human capacity for emotional health & resilience under even the toughest of circumstances. In treatment, I nourish this capacity by using evidence-based interventions, an appreciation for the spontaneous & the playful, and drawing on what I know has worked well in the past with other clients facing similar challenges.
I am continually humbled by how the therapeutic journey is defined by the ways in which it is unique to each traveler, not by similarities. I always keep this in mind when working with clients. It allows me to be more connected, present, & real, while also establishing safe ground for their meaningful self-discovery, healing, & creative collaboration.
