| español If not for the friends and counselors in my life, I don't know where I would be today. Growing up in Colombia during a time of civil unrest, I witnessed much suffering and was personally touched by it as I experienced the murder of my father. The effects this had on me and my family are what lead me to the place of seeking help. We all need someone who will listen, comfort, and guide us towards health and healing. As a recipient of great care, I passionately aspire to give what has been given to me.
My approach is Faith-based cognitive behavioral (transformed by the renewing of our minds) and holistic (all parts of a person are interrelated). As a Marriage & Family Therapist, I explore therapeutic techniques that relate not just towards individuals, but the whole family dynamic.
I am bicultural and offer counseling for individuals, children, families and couples in both English and Spanish. I follow all legal and ethical guidelines of the Tennessee Board for Marital & Family Therapists and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
