I’m Abigail Fields, a LMHC in northeast Florida, living with my husband & our sweet dog, Libby. I have been counseling for over 15 years. Struggles are a normal part of life & we all face them differently. I am passionate about normalizing them, working through shame, helping others heal, be whole, and live a life of resilience & hope. I have a physical vulnerability & have had my own struggles in life. This has produced great empathy for others who struggle & experience the hardships of life. Empathy, life experiences & the ability to listen well are my greatest strengths that can help others heal, hope & gently grow.
I specialize in helping those who feel stuck, helpless, or unworthy, often due to depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic health issues, physical disabilities, crisis of faith, church hurt, spiritual trauma, low self-esteem, trauma, codependency, or painful relationships. For those open to it, I incorporate faith-based practices like prayer or meditation.
I believe that healing comes in layers and is, oftentimes, a process. Counseling can be frightful as one starts to talk about themselves and layers begin to be revealed. This is normal and it is ok. I encourage my clients not to be afraid to struggle through the discomfort of healing because there is restoration of life waiting on the other side. You matter!
