About
Abeha is a recent graduate from Adler University and is obtaining her Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University, and she earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University. Currently, Abeha is pursuing her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (PhD) at Adler University. Prior to joining CCBH, Abeha worked with Chatham Family Counseling Center and Hartgrove Hospital. She has experience working with adults, teens, and youth from marginalized backgrounds.
Abeha has worked with various client concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, relationships, phase of life problems, self-esteem, and suicidality. Abeha is very passionate about working with clients and making their well-being her number one priority.
Abeha values fostering therapeutic relationships that are nonjudgmental, collaborative, and built on trust. Abeha is also passionate about the mind-body-spirit connection and how mindfulness can be used as a tool for healing and self-actualization.
