These concerns often center on life, cultural and family issues, to name a few.
As a male and BIPOC and 1st-generation college graduate from East Texas, I get how the path is not always carved out or easy. Part of the journey of living in several cities helped me understand what it means to go from the country to the city. Additionally, I have worked for companies of various sizes for 20+ years and taught inside TDCJ.
So why me? Because I remember being in a position where life did not make sense. I took up writing back then as my therapy since I could not afford a therapist.
