I am a licensed clinical social worker with 25 years in practice. I seek to provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment in which clients can explore their struggles and how to best address them, in order to experience more peace and live more authentically. I employ a variety of techniques to achieve these goals, including CBT, psychoanalytic, coping strategies, family systems and most importantly, Rogerian based humanistic treatment. My belief about therapy is that it should be client centered; that every person is unique, and should be treated as an individual.
In short, I listen nonjudgmentally and carefully, to help you better understand yourself and how you came to be who you are. Together, we strategize how to make the changes you want, and also to come to terms with the things you cannot change. Everyone holds the key to their own peace of mind, it is my job to help to help you uncover it.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, and will work to help you feel comfortable. I also think much of the success that comes in therapy is a result of a “click” between therapist and client.
