About
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and difficult life transitions utilizing creative flexible interventions that best meet the client’s needs. I have also helped clients process larger systemic traumas related to race, gender, sexual orientation, and medical & occupational experiences.
I value providing clients with a genuine supportive experience by showing up as my authentic self; being a human first and therapist second. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable in front of someone is intimidating, even when knowing that mental health professionals are supposed to be non-judgmental and supportive.
By showing up as “human first”, I hope to give clients a sense of comfort, so that they may feel at ease with talking about experiences that are uncomfortable to share. When guiding clients, I center the path on building better relationships with oneself and others, gaining acceptance of what cannot be controlled, learning self-care, and healthy boundaries.
