I am passionate about supporting adolescents and adults along their journey in learning how to take better care of their mental health. It can be difficult to carve out the time for yourself or even sit with the discomfort of unpleasant emotions. I'm here to help that process feel less intimidating. I have experience supporting clients in processing past or ongoing trauma, life transitions, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence. I also support clients in processing larger systemic traumas related to race, gender, sexual orientation, and medical & occupational experiences.
I value providing clients with a genuine supportive experience by showing up as my authentic self; being a human first and therapist second. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable in front of someone is intimidating, even when knowing that mental health professionals are supposed to be non-judgmental and supportive.
By showing up as “human first”, I hope to give clients a sense of comfort, so that they may feel at ease with talking about experiences that are uncomfortable to share. When guiding clients, I center the path on building better relationships with oneself and others, gaining acceptance of what cannot be controlled, learning self-care, and healthy boundaries.
