Hi, I’m Abby Edgington, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience supporting clients of all ages through anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship concerns, and self-esteem issues. I earned my MSW from Columbia University in 2023 and have provided outpatient therapy, including DBT groups and trauma-informed care. Before becoming a therapist, I worked with refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals with disabilities, helping people overcome barriers and access support. These experiences shaped my practice to be trauma-informed, resilience-focused, and culturally responsive.
I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, drawing from attachment-based, narrative, and trauma-informed practices as well as evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where you can explore your story without judgment, gain new coping strategies, and feel empowered to move toward growth and balance.
In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy and set meaningful goals together. Clients often find therapy helps them build confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. My role is to walk alongside you with support, perspective, and tools for lasting change.
