Abby provides therapy services to adult individuals. She has experience working with diverse communities and has enjoyed providing compassionate and person-centered services to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, difficulties with gender identity and sexual orientation, phase of life changes, relationship issues, grief and loss, and body image concerns. Abby also enjoys providing continued support to those in established recovery from substance use problems and disordered eating.
Abby utilizes several different approaches when working with clients, including cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, strength-based, and collaborative solution-focused therapies. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, an eye-movement based therapy that helps clients process past trauma and other difficult emotions.
Abby is committed to providing a safe and empowering space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as anybody who experiences societal marginalization or oppression due to systemic racism, ableism, or fatphobia. Abby likes to use humor in session and firmly believes that therapy can be as enjoyable as it is difficult. She looks forward to meeting you!
