Hi there! Reaching out for mental health support can seem difficult and intimidating. I am so glad that you are here! My style of counseling is one that is warm, genuine, non-judgmental, and collaborative, as I believe that each client is the expert on their own lives. I work to meet my clients where they are at in order to work towards their own individual goals that they are looking for in life.
I have experience working with children, preteens, teens, adults, and families with various presenting concerns. I have experience working with teenage substance use, parenting problems, self esteem difficulties, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and general life transitions (ie. supporting families and children through divorce, college, etc.).
In many cases, my treatment involves building insight into patterns of behavior, exploring emotions, promoting self compassion, building upon strengths, identifying maladaptive thinking patterns or patterns of behavior, and learning new coping skills and ways of thinking.
