Hi there! I'm Abbi, a licensed marriage and family therapist based in East Greenwich. I am so glad that you are here and taking the first steps to prioritize your mental health. My style of counseling is one that is warm, laid back, non-judgmental, and collaborative, as I believe that each client is the expert on their own lives. I strive to meet each client where they are in their journey and help them move toward the individual goals they hope to achieve. As a LMFT, I work with couples, families, children and adult clients. I am EMDR trained. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with parenting and relationship difficulties, low self esteem, depression, anxiety, school problems, substance use or general life transitions. I have also worked in schools for the past 5 years.
My approach centers on creating and maintaining a strong, safe therapeutic relationship. From this foundation, we can work together to build insight into behavioral patterns, explore and process emotions, cultivate self-compassion, identify and shift maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, and develop new coping skills.
