I firmly believe that healing comes from a place of deep understanding and insight. I approach counseling from a strengths-based and person-centered framework, meaning I believe that clients already possess the resources necessary to heal and grow, they have just yet to identify them. I strive to be a sounding board for my clients to assist them in building upon their strengths, gain confidence, and improve their overall well-being. I see and value the uniqueness of each person and therefore draw from several different therapeutic modalities to tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual needs of my client.
I have experience working with a wide variety of mental and emotional challenges including, but not limited to; anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, and interpersonal issues. I possess specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders and am passionate about providing compassionate care from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective.
My approach to therapy is affirming, relational, and holistic. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them gain awareness, insight, and skills to live a more fulfilled life. I aim to empower my clients to take the steps necessary to achieve wellness in whatever way that manifests in their lives.
