My counseling style is eclectic and client focused with a systems perspective. I believe that people act or behave with the intent of feeling good, but often develop coping behavior along the path of life that no longer serves them. I assist clients in identifying and connecting with the positive intent behind "dysfunctional behavior", and discovering new methods of coping that lead to a more balanced and joyful journey through life.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families. I specialize in Systems Based Authentic Therapy. The use of relationship is at the core of this practice. During Authentic Therapy sessions, it is the therapists goal to act as a guide to clients on their personal journey toward a life of more love, joy and peace of mind.
Authentic Therapy is different from most mental health healing modalities in its foundation. Authentic Therapists do not base treatment on pathology such as focusing on problems, what is wrong, the lack, negativity, behavior, and limitedness. The basic premise instead is: All human beings desire to "grow to the light".
