Depth-oriented psychotherapy is designed to assist patients in discovering, revealing, and resolving subtle or “deeper” insecurities that underlie difficulties in relating to self and others. As unproductive patterns, and the psychological substructure beneath them are revealed, a variety of alternatives readily present themselves.
