I have always been someone who cares for others and a natural problem solver. Being a therapist allows me to use both of these strengths to help people. I decided to specialize in OCD because I am passionate about providing quality, evidence-based treatment. OCD is often misdiagnosed or overlooked, and I wanted to be part of the solution to that problem. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD. Our understanding of its nuances enables us to properly diagnose and treat it. We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
When you start with NOCD, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues, based on your preferences. We’ll get to know you and create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone.
Being afraid to share your thoughts is common among people with OCD. OCD thoughts can cause a lot of fear or discomfort. Remember that as an OCD therapist, I have heard and seen it all. You are not your thoughts. I’m excited to begin this journey with you and support you in overcoming your OCD.
