At the beginning of my own healing journey, I found it difficult to find someone who looked like me and shared similar life experiences as myself. My work is focused on showing others who share similarities my background that there are people out there with lived experiences like theirs.
Therapy became integral to my growth as a person who was trying my best to navigate life from my first experiences seeing a therapist at age 20. My love for my profession, and my craft grew exponentially when I was able to work within my own community and was able to give back in a way that I was never able to before.
