The most profound force is a person’s ability to heal. Life can deal its chaos and turmoil to anyone, but I believe that we are all on our own path toward wholeness. When we lose ourselves for a time, problems such as anxiety, depression, or addiction may arise. My priorities as a therapist are to be a collaborator and guide to nurture the growth and healing that is already occurring in you. I strive to bring a relational style to the therapeutic process knowing that it is sacred–yet potentially painful and intimidating–to ‘bear one’s soul’ to another. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and seek to create a warm and welcoming space for all.
I work with people of all ages and backgrounds but have specific training in play therapy with children. I blend humanistic ideals with analytical psychology, believing that the stories we tell ourselves are the most significant factor in growth. Relational conflicts, personal meaningfulness, and family/systemic traumas are some of my areas of focus.
