About
Thank you for your courage to take this step. Seeking guidance and help through therapy is a courageous thing! I am committed to creating brave spaces to honor each individual's unique truth and lived experiences. Culturally responsive social work practice is the foundation of my work; I am passionate about working with racial, ethnic, and religious minority populations to address mental health needs. I am particularly interested in- but not limited to- working with Muslim women, minority women, immigrants, children of immigrants, and oncology patients .
As a social worker, I have had the privilege to work with diverse populations. My professional experience includes working as an Oncology Social Worker and I have experience working with individuals living with anxiety, depression, guilt, anger, grief/loss and has worked with patients to explore self-compassion, self-care, journaling, and mindfulness.
I practice social work from a holistic, strengths-based perspective to consider the individual as a diverse, multi-dimensional being within their environment. I believe in honoring the client’s self-determination and values on this journey. I genuinely hope to to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to begin your journey!
