I work with individuals navigating difficult feelings or behaviors, couples facing conflict, & kids/parents who are struggling.
I believe we deserve to understand our "pain"- the roots of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, both past and present. Together, we'll explore that, and build mindfulness around when those things get activated. And over time, we'll work toward lasting change through conversation, practice, and EMDR (when applicable).
From day one, I'll bring my authentic self to the room. That includes empathy, directness, and maybe even a little humor.
PARENTS: When working with youth, I require parent(s) to attend regularly so WE can do work too. The goal is to strengthen the relationship so you don't need me anymore! I will likely challenge you a bit- not to criticize, but to address patterns that aren't working. We ALL need to be willing to self-reflect, take responsibility, and try new approaches.
OPTION: Mind & Body Wellness Program.
I offer research backed 90 and 120 min sessions that deepen traditional therapy by integrating physical movement/fitness. We'll begin and end with therapy, with 20 to 30 minutes of exercise in between. This may include calisthenics, biking, yoga, or walking/running- all tailored to your current ability and goals.
