My name is A Gould (pronouns they/he). I'm a mental health counselor and an owner of Ember & Bloom Counseling. I’m a proud non-binary, transgender, queer, and autistic person. I'm passionate about serving my LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, providing affirming mental healthcare.
I offer in-person/telehealth sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and telehealth sessions on Tuesdays, 10 am - 5 pm.
My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), also known as Parts Work. IFS offers a way to explore the many different “parts” of ourselves: those that may feel conflicted, protective, or wounded. I’ve found this work to be especially helpful for people who tend to over-intellectualize their feelings.
I don’t believe in fighting against neurodivergence or trying to force people into a “typical” mold. Instead, I focus on making space for it, through accommodations and self-compassion. Together, we will explore strategies that work for you, not against you.
