Talking to a new person about the hard parts of your life can feel deeply vulnerable. Whether it’s coming to therapy for the first time, returning after a break, or changing therapists, I understand the bravery and inner strength that reaching out for help requires. I aim to make the process of coming to therapy easy by making folks feel respected, safe, and understood. I provide space where people can be human, share truths, and practice new skills. I’m accepting telehealth clients ages 13+ and am an out-of-network provider. Clients under 13 in need of support are recommended to have parent sessions in order to make changes.

I love to work with female, male, or LGBTQ professionals who experienced difficult childhoods or abusive relationships and struggle to let go of the past, feel "like they are not enough", "have to prove their worth", or "settle for less". I love to help clients heal and move on from hurtful relationships, and attract more suitable partners. I welcome polyamory, kink, and sex-positivity.

Deep at my core, I would like to believe I can work with anyone regarding any potential concern. I do not wish to discriminate or weed out any clients in that way, it feels wrong to me. There very well may be some clients that don't feel I meet their needs and that is certainly okay with me. I do not bring a lot of structure, guidance, or advice to my counseling and that is not always what some clients need or desire. My ideal client is someone looking to change and grow, someone that wants to be the best version of themselves in a holistic manner.

I believe life has purpose for every individual, even in the midst of our inevitable suffering. I would consider it an honor to go on a journey with you to help you to discover your true meaning and purposes in life. I hope to foster an environment where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and heard. I also strive to be genuine, empathetic, warm, and client-centered. Counseling is meant to be a collaborative process in which counselor and client walk together toward healing and mental wellness.

Now Accepting New Clients! You crave conversations about the universe, meaning, and purpose. You feel most alive and at peace while creating. Discussing the weather kills your soul a bit. People keep telling you you're in the "prime of your life" and you still have no idea wtf you're doing, and kinda feel like a hot mess. You also secretly wish that iced coffee you get every morning is just going to magically solve all your problems...I get it. Young adulthood, while exciting, can be kind of a mess and it sure isn't talked about enough. If you're needing a space to figure out where you want to go from here, shoot me a text.

When you walk into my office seeking support, it is important to me that you feel respected and, with time, safe to be just as you are. When you get to the point of reaching out for counseling, there is something going on that’s just not working how it’s supposed to. Even our most difficult mental health symptoms were born with the intention of protecting us somehow. Often it’s difficult to understand why we’re acting or feeling a certain way. My goal is to work with you and to be curious with you so that whatever is troubling you can start to make more sense. Together, with compassion, we can begin to invite change to take place.

People often seek out the help of a psychologist, coach or consultant in order to improve in some way. Whether this means at an emotional/social/behavioral level or in a performance-related domain, I take the same basic approach: help you, the client, understand what it is you most need or want, and then work with you to get you there. My general mission as a professional is to help others - adults, teens and couples - grow and develop in increasingly gratifying and successful ways. My office is located in Spokane, but services are provided statewide.

Are you looking to focus on yourself, your needs, and grow? Clients who work well with me may suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD. These disorders are often rooted in a disrupted relationship with self. They often manifest in various aspects of your life creating mass uproar. I am inquisitive about your unique experience and internalized messages. I am committed to centering your identity within the context of your environment and habits. We will take inventory on how these components impact your mental, physical and spiritual well being, allowing for a more holistic approach as you learn your needs and actively support them.

I offer a non-judgemental space to explore the biggest, messiest, most meaningful questions of your heart and mind. I work with people who struggle with anxiety, PTSD, motivation, perfectionism, burn-out, and stress, as well as those navigating the unique challenges of being highly sensitive. I also work with those whose symptoms don’t easily fit into these categories…. they feel existential dread, or deeply lonely, or wonder if others know something about joy and wonder that they do not.

People achieve the most evolution when they feel seen, valued, and heard. This is what I strive to accomplish. My most important work is supporting others in elevating and reaching their full potential. One of my favorite things is seeing people succeed! I love witnessing people gain confidence in themselves, heal from their pain, replace unhelpful thinking patterns, and work toward their personal goals. I strongly believe that all people are capable of growth and change, no matter where they came from, or what they have been through.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
