My specialty is discerning dynamic patterns in relationships and behaviors. I do past-present-future trajectory forecasting—analyzing where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you’re headed. My central questions are: Where is your current path taking you? And what can we do now to calibrate your trajectory so you can hit the mark of your purpose? Knowledge is valuable, but wisdom is even greater. You can gather materials (knowledge) to build a house, but without the blueprint (wisdom), the pieces won’t fit together. In counseling, I offer more than information alone—I aim to help you connect knowledge with insight.

Some of life’s greatest challenges, such as divorce, relationship issues, career choices, work related stress, depression, and anxiety can be difficult to navigate alone. Sometimes these issues may be difficult for our family members and friends to attend to. I am committed to helping clients find new possibilities or recognize the strengths that they may have been overlooking. I am an Army Veteran who has extensive experience working with veterans and their families as a family and victim advocate. These experiences have given me a unique perspective of trauma and the challenges it may present in daily life.

I am deeply passionate about helping people feel better and experience RELIEF from intense emotional pain and suffering. As a therapist, I am no stranger to deep suffering. In fact, it has been the single most powerful catalyst to who I have become, personally and professionally. Nobody escapes trauma in this life. To be human is to suffer. BUT we can learn how to manage and navigate the things we can't control. We can HEAL from our pain. We CAN rise from the most desperate of circumstances. We CAN become FREE. I carry a continual burning torch of hope and light for every sacred person I sit with. I believe in you.

Couples and family therapy for adults navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, and relationship stress. Something feels off, and you can't quite pinpoint when it started. Conversations that used to come easily now end in arguments or silence. You're carrying tension from family patterns you didn't choose, and it's showing up in how you connect with those closest to you. Maybe you're stuck in the same fight with your partner, pulling away from someone you love, or noticing that anxiety is quietly eroding the relationships that matter most. You're not broken. But the ways you've learned to cope might not be working anymore.

Maybe you have a box in your head that's labeled "Past Stuff." You put in all the things you don't like thinking about: hurts from your childhood, the memories of things you did that play on a loop in your head if you're not careful. Lately, things have been leaking out. You feel less in control of your life, and the memories that used to stay in the box are escaping. Or maybe you know the box is there and have a sense that you should sort through it, but you're not sure about doing it alone.

I believe in the inherent goodness and worthiness of everyone and my life experiences have shown me the myriad of ways that we all can forget this or lose our way. For me, counseling has been a centering place to find my way back to who I really am. Sometimes I can sit and meditate and do that on my own, but a lot of the time I need someone to be with me in it because I'm lost or stuck. As a counselor it's such a privilege to be with others in those spaces, to help my clients find their way back to who they really are.

Are you ready to let go go old habits and ways of thought that shackle you? Would you like to move through your stuck places, your anxiety and your depression? Many people believe they are stuck in anxiety and depression when what they are really dealing with is a spiritual crisis. Once we bring in a level of work that acknowledges the very real struggles that they are dealing with, people begin to heal in new ways.

COUPLES! Are you feeling more like roommates than lovers? Having a difficult time relating to one another? Take comfort in knowing that you are not alone. All couples go through phases in their relationship. Sometimes couples have a difficult time moving from one phase to another and need assistance in gaining momentum. Negotiating life as a couple can be difficult. Most people want to feel connected, cared for, and understood by their mate. Sometimes it feels as though there are two strangers living together. If this is you do not lose hope...

How can I find a therapist in 98660?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
